High Noon?

Our feng shui calendar tells us that today is a Wood Tiger day and falling as it does in a Dog month, only needs the Horse sign to complete a huge fire element influence. See five elements.

Fire represents the height of growth and the peak of energy, so during the double hour of the Horse (11am – 1pm local time), we all get to experience this influence for ourselves. Of course, if you actually have a Horse in your Chinese astrology horoscope, the effect lasts all day and you should use our attribute cycle to find out how you will be personally affected.

For those without the Horse sign and not going for a power lunch or having an audition, (fire element represents performance), it’s not a terribly auspicious day because we have the beginning and end of the group, but nothing to connect the two.

Nevertheless, Tiger and Dog are highly compatible and the feng shui almanac recommends seeing friends and even shopping for clothes as suitable activities. Funeral services should also go well. However, litigation and randomly enough fishing are not well favoured.

It’s a much better day tomorrow and as we head towards a full moon on Saturday, activity will improve and so might the weather.

We will return when we have something more to tell you. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Feng shui cures for a “Pig of a day!”

The ancient of art of feng shui is all about balancing energy and those born under the Pig Chinese animal sign get to experience how this can be used to fantastic effect.

Year break

Since February, Pig signs have had a challenging year as they clash with the annual Snake sign, which would have brought major change to some part of their life. Health could also have suffered affecting the head, groin or feet area and stress levels would certainly have risen.

Day break?

As today is a Fire Pig day, those signs can get a “break” and we now tell you how to cure this problem. Depending of the strength of their sign in their Chinese astrology horoscope, they can either incorporate the wood element into their lives until next February or use the earth element until the end of this month. Which one should they choose?

High on the Hog

This title refers to a strong Pig sign, probably born in winter between November and January, but could also have Rabbit and Sheep or Rat and Ox in their Chinese horoscopes. They would be best to adopt the wood element; easily achieved by sitting, sleeping or facing east, wearing green or light blue colours, adding sour tastes or astringent vegetables such as celery to their diet, walking in woodland areas and being kind to one another. If possible, they should be strategic and have plans in place to allow for any emergency.

… or Pig out?

Pig signs not in the above category are best incorporating the earth element into their lives, at least until October 8th, when they will need to change to another element. Sleeping, sitting or facing southwest or northeast are their best directions, but this does depend on their Ming gua. Otherwise, it is good to wear or be near cream, beige, brown, pale yellows or orange colours, sit at a rectangular desk, be near fields or open spaces and have a massage or tactile relationship. Oh, and adding sweet tastes to their diet will help balance their energy.

We all go through these clashes at certain times and feng shui with Chinese astrology can certainly help you avoid future problems. Having a professional astrology reading, or a feng shui consultation could ensure you don’t experience the same problems again.

For everybody else, the feng shui almanac suggests only quiet meditation and tidying up loose ends as todays only recommended activities. It advises against marriage, as well as hair styling because, after all, you cannot stick it back on can you?

If you have a Pig sign, let us know how you get on today and which element you chose to try. We will return soon, until then take care.

7 successful things to do today!

Today's new moon also begins a new cycle in one of the oldest forms of Chinese astrology, known as the 28 Lunar Mansions. For millennia, it has provided great insight into how to make the best decisions and the best course of action on any specific day.

We translate this and other related influences from the book of nature or Tong Shu and then add our own feng shui and Chinese astrology recommendations. This can provide advice for your home, business and every aspect of your life.

Our feng shui blog days will advise you on the most successful things to do on the day ahead, as well as what to avoid. Here are today's 7 best recommendations as an example:

1.      In Chinese astrology, it is a Wood Dog day, which has great compatibility with the current month sign of Monkey and makes meeting friends and acquaintances very auspicious. Further, for those with a Rooster in their Chinese astrology charts, there is a special alignment that some might consider “pure gold”, perhaps making a memorable day.
2.      The Rooster hour could create this “pure gold” experience for us all and occurs between 5 – 7pm local time. Consequently shopping, especially for a wedding dress or fine clothes is also favoured.
3.      With this party atmosphere prevalent today, pampering and hair and beauty treatments also work.
4.      The Yang Wood of Wood Dog also heralds another auspicious and independent cycle making it a great day for moving home.
5.      Business and transactions are also well favoured and new prospects may be found in the southeast.
6.      To extend this auspicious natural cycle, it’s a great day to plant seeds and grow something for the future. I like to think of this in a metaphorical sense, so I especially like to learn something or adopt a good habit on these days.
7.      It’s a great day for “hunting” or acquiring livestock. Of course, this can also be viewed metaphorically as hunting for bargains and the best of these could be found southeast of where you are, right now.
No-no’s
1.      With all of this good qi about, its not a good day to put things into storage.
2.      This is not really a no-no, more a gentle reminder not to miss our next blog, subscribe now!

Coincidentally and returning to where we came in, today's first Lunar Mansion is called the “Horn” and I would like you to see this as a “call to action”. So, tell your friends we have now returned from our summer recess and let us know if there is anything specific you would like included in future blogs.

See you soon!

Day of the year?

In case you woke up late this morning and feel that you missed something, our title doesn’t mean the best day of the year, simply that today has the same Chinese astrology sign as the year. So if 2013 has been outstanding so far, today should be the icing on the cake. However, if it has been full of trials and tribulations, it would probably have been best to sleep in and keep a low profile when you rise.

Most at risk are our Pig signs as they clash with these Snakes.  Nevertheless they can turn problems into opportunities and transform their fortunes by adding earth and metal elemental cures to their life today. Feel free to pass these “pearls” onto your friends who may have been born in November, between the hours of 9pm - 11pm, or on any Pig day or year.

The feng shui almanac seems quite happy though; perhaps it was born under an Ox sign possibly with Rooster qualities as it entertains and broadcasts? Both signs should have an equally good day and we all should enjoy meditating or honouring ancestors, visiting friends, taking a course, having a haircut, getting engaged, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or setting direction for your bed or hunting.

As it’s a good day to enrol on a course and start a new business, we are keeping our Early Bird discount for our new feng shui training program starting in September open for an extra day. So hurry now and book for an experience of a lifetime and incredible job satisfaction.

Another good thing about this being a Water Snake day and year is that everything you need to know about it has already been written on our dedicated Water Snake horoscope page. As we are teaching this weekend we should return, commitments permitting, next Wednesday. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

The power of cultivation

I was happy to see that our new Royal Prince was named with not just a U in his middle name, but more importantly with an “oo” sound, corresponding to his much needed favourable element of metal. Consequently, his Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge will prosper.

Traditionally when a child is born, the parents consult a Feng Shui or ba zi master and have a Four Pillars of Destiny horoscope produced. The new-born’s Chinese astrology chart is then analysed to reveal how he/she can make the most of life and which element will bring the child the most success and satisfaction.

Amongst the most important recommendations is the use of specific sounds in the naming of the child.  As sound is a frequency it signifies the transference of energy, and therefore power, whenever that name is used. Obviously, it would be more powerful if it was the Prince’s first name, but being third in line to the British throne, all his names will be announced in any public or formal occasion.

On the subject of power, today is a Water Dragon, which is the most powerful of all the five possible types of Dragon in Chinese astrology. However, those with this sign may bring huge pressure to bear on themselves. However, with proper cultivation and support, they too can prosper, especially with the metal element. Consequently, should you have a child born today, you might consider the above advice, so Luke or Ruth perhaps?

For expectant parents, we can also professionally produce these charts and recommend appropriate names. Of course, for those of us who already have a name, we can advise you on how to make the most from life. You can also get a free Chinese horoscope by clicking on the link.

The feng shui almanac also favours cultivation today in the form of planting seeds and obtaining livestock. Collecting debt is also favourable, whilst opening water courses isn’t.

Our dedicated Water Dragon Horoscope page will tell you all you need to know about how your own sign will be affected and coincidentally some of the recommendations included in a Four Pillars of Destiny chart.

We should return tomorrow, commitments permitting. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Live high on the hog?

It’s a very lucky day for activities involving friends

Despite the title, today is actually a Rabbit day in Chinese astrology not a Hog. However, falling as it does in a Sheep month, an alignment starts to form which is completed by the Pig zodiac sign.

This brings an enormous wood element influence to those under this Hog sign and in general terms, can signify great kindness or extreme anger. Personally, it can mean great opportunities for relationships, wealth, recognition, authority / promotion, creativity and either feeling relaxed or extremely vibrant; it all depends on the balance of one’s horoscope.

To see how it affects you and your friends, (feel free to pass this onto them) first get a free Chinese horoscope  to see if you have a Pig anywhere in your chart. Then see the attribute cycle for personal effects. However, from 9pm – 11pm local time tonight, we all get to experience the effects of this triple alignment, so it’s worth checking how it will personally affect you.

The Feng Shui almanac already says it’s a very lucky day and recommends activities involving friends such as visiting them, taking a course, travelling, getting married and emigrating. More personal pursuits are also favoured, such as  meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, having an astrology reading, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or a setting direction for your bed, or setting up a tombstone. It advises against opening a well or even fermenting. As wood absorbs water, this must have something to do with a lack of moisture?

Astrologically speaking, today is also good for Rat signs who are expressive and creative and can see their plans develop. They may also receive opportunities to travel.

Rabbits get helps from friends, whilst the Tiger can develop rapidly due to great support.

Our Earth signs of Dragon, Goat, Dog and Ox should feel powerful, although if pressurised they should wear warm colours. Female earth signs are also lucky in love today, whilst males would have to have the metal element of Monkey or Rooster to have similar luck. Snake and Horse signs may feel energetic and are in a good position to receive helpful advice.

We should return tomorrow, commitments permitting. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
