7 successful things to do today!

Today's new moon also begins a new cycle in one of the oldest forms of Chinese astrology, known as the 28 Lunar Mansions. For millennia, it has provided great insight into how to make the best decisions and the best course of action on any specific day.

We translate this and other related influences from the book of nature or Tong Shu and then add our own feng shui and Chinese astrology recommendations. This can provide advice for your home, business and every aspect of your life.

Our feng shui blog days will advise you on the most successful things to do on the day ahead, as well as what to avoid. Here are today's 7 best recommendations as an example:

1.      In Chinese astrology, it is a Wood Dog day, which has great compatibility with the current month sign of Monkey and makes meeting friends and acquaintances very auspicious. Further, for those with a Rooster in their Chinese astrology charts, there is a special alignment that some might consider “pure gold”, perhaps making a memorable day.
2.      The Rooster hour could create this “pure gold” experience for us all and occurs between 5 – 7pm local time. Consequently shopping, especially for a wedding dress or fine clothes is also favoured.
3.      With this party atmosphere prevalent today, pampering and hair and beauty treatments also work.
4.      The Yang Wood of Wood Dog also heralds another auspicious and independent cycle making it a great day for moving home.
5.      Business and transactions are also well favoured and new prospects may be found in the southeast.
6.      To extend this auspicious natural cycle, it’s a great day to plant seeds and grow something for the future. I like to think of this in a metaphorical sense, so I especially like to learn something or adopt a good habit on these days.
7.      It’s a great day for “hunting” or acquiring livestock. Of course, this can also be viewed metaphorically as hunting for bargains and the best of these could be found southeast of where you are, right now.
No-no’s
1.      With all of this good qi about, its not a good day to put things into storage.
2.      This is not really a no-no, more a gentle reminder not to miss our next blog, subscribe now!

Coincidentally and returning to where we came in, today's first Lunar Mansion is called the “Horn” and I would like you to see this as a “call to action”. So, tell your friends we have now returned from our summer recess and let us know if there is anything specific you would like included in future blogs.

See you soon!

Blessed by the lazy Dragon?

It’s a Wood Dragon day in Chinese astrology and if you have one of these in your Chinese horoscope, you will know that it doesn’t mean lazy, far from it! Of the five different types of Dragon, this wood type has the potential to be the most affluent, or if male, possibly the most romantic. Now you want one right? See free Chinese horoscope.

I coined it a lazy dragon as there isn’t much to do today, but what there is to do, is all good; even blessed! That’s because the Dragon assists the monthly sign of Ox and the Chinese almanac interprets this as a great day for taking it easy and quiet reflection or getting lucky by asking for blessings, visiting friends and shopping.

Regardless of which Chinese zodiac sign you have, please see our dedicated Wood Dragon page to see how you will fare today, or possibly which shops you should visit.

We will grinningly return tomorrow with a Grass Snake.  Can’t wait to see what we will do with that! Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

The Luck Bunny

It’s actually a Water Rabbit day, which is more associated with intelligence and creativity than blessings, but then maybe we make our own luck? In which case you will definitely need to use feng shui and this blog will help you.

As all energy is in a state of flux, rising and falling or peaking and decaying, Feng shui enables you to find and absorb the most vibrant energy at any given time. This will definitely improve your performance and outlook on life, perhaps this confidence is what others consider as being lucky?

For those who haven’t availed themselves of this rising energy, present in every structure, (maybe this is the true meaning of going with the flow?) we have translated the Chinese almanac to find today's most suitable activities, they include meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for luck, visiting friends, taking a course, having a haircut, sweeping house, travelling, getting engaged, getting married, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, opening a  business or setting up a tombstone. It advises against litigation, opening a well or watercourse.

Of course if you want to be fully empowered then maybe a feng shui consultation will help you. Alternatively, we can teach you how to do it for yourself and those you care about with one of courses, just click on the link above.

To see how your own Chinese astrology sign will fare today, see our dedicated Water Rabbit  web page. We will return tomorrow with a Wood Dragon, until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Sweet smell and Success?

If we reduce today's Earth Monkey down to its basic elements, we get sweet from the earth and metal (monkey) represents the nose. Today’s title was derived by adding the 28 Lunar MansionsSuccess”. However, its apt, as owing to a special triple alignment with the day, month and year, it’s probably the best day of the week so far and success should be more easily found.

Especially if it’s associated with the water element which denotes communications, transport, wisdom and knowledge. Hence the Chinese almanac recommends taking a course,  visiting friends, having a haircut, travelling, getting engaged or married, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, opening a business and trading, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, and setting up a tombstone as successful activities. It advises against laying foundations, buying or setting direction for your bed or buying land.

To see how your own sign is affected today see our dedicated Earth Monkey web page and we will return tomorrow with an Earth Rooster.
Until then, enjoy moment of NOW!

Salty Pig day?

Salty is a taste associated with the Water element and today is said to have definite porcine qualities being a Water Pig day. These include intelligence, so it is a good day to take a course or to dig and look for treasure like truffles or even lay foundations and build a new home. Of course, there are the more popular culinary pursuits and if these interest you more, you will be glad to know that it is also good to start a fire or have a BBQ. If doing so you will definitely find a “Salty Piguseful as it is a high end condiment dispenser.

The Chinese almanac or Tong Shu also suggests planting seeds, opening a business or aligning a door as favourable activities today, but that’s because today marks the end of a cycle. Following these activities means that you are ready for the next 60 day cycle to start tomorrow. Pig is also a friend of the Rabbit and means that people born with this sign in their horoscope should be lucky in this Rabbit month and year. These include Emily Blunt, Keira Knightley, Amy Winehouse, Cheryl Tweedy, Carrie Underwood and Holly Valance.

Specifically, a Pig day brings wealth opportunities to the earth signs of Dragon, Sheep, Dog and Ox. Wood signs of Rabbit and Tiger will feel energised, whilst fire signs of Snake and Horse should feel empowered and gain recognition. That said, the Snake is clashed and may struggle today without the wood element which they can use by wearing green or light blue colours. Alternatively, as this element is also related to thinking forming a strategy for success also works. Metal signs of Monkey and Rooster should have quite a relaxing and creative day.

Until tomorrow – enjoy today!
