Chicken?… Dipper?...Chipper!

With both a Fire Rooster and a Dipper day you can see how we chose today's title. “Chipper" means being in sprightly good humour and laughter is associated with the fire element. Rooster is obviously a male chicken, so that’s also appropriate.  However, chipper also relates to health and that may be a problem for a Fire Rooster.

Although incredibly lucky with money Fire Roosters tend to suppress their emotions and this can create health issues in the form of liver, blood, small intestine, teeth or finger problems. Depending on the rest of their horoscope this would need to be balanced, with either earth or water and wood.  As luck would have it, this months sign of Ox naturally balances and reacts well to the Rooster to make this a good day for all, not just famous Fire Rooster celebrities like Antony Gormley (day) Serena Williams, Peter Falk - Columbo, Sting and Chip , no not quite, Chubby Checker.

Dipper is one of the 28 lunar mansions representing the northern heaven and the Tortoise. Its very auspicious consequently, the Chinese almanac recommends meditating or honouring ancestors, taking a course, travelling, getting married, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, sweeping house, buying or making clothes, emigrating, opening a  business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, , or setting up a tombstone as suitable activities. It advises against beauty therapies in the form of hairstyling, manicure or  pedicure, and litigation.

To discover how your own sign fares today see our dedicated Fire Rooster web page and we will return tomorrow with an Earth Dog.

Monkey see, Monkey do?

It’s a Monkey day see, specifically a Fire Monkey, and as fire is associated with action, that’s gotta be a Monkey Do!

As we are still in the Dragon year, Monkey days are very auspicious and the Chinese almanac is full of suggestions to make the best from today such as meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, having a haircut, sweeping house, travelling, emigrating, opening a  business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting direction for your bed, hunting, or setting up a tombstone.

The Dragon and Monkey alliance is completed by a Rat sign, so should you have one in your chart and you can find out here free Chinese horoscope , it will be a most memorable day. It’s difficult to say whether that will be in a good or bad way, as with almost 13 million different charts in this system, we can’t generalise. However, you can find out through our free attribute cycle. Just click on the link, follow the instructions and note the effects of water in your Chinese horoscope.

Regardless of your sign, visit our dedicated Fire Monkey web page to see how your sign will be affected today. We will return tomorrow with a Fire Rooster. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

The Wooden Tups?

Although Tup can mean many things, its original use meant a Ram and that’s appropriate as today is a Wooden Ram or Sheep day. It’s reminiscent of “The Woodentops”, a classic BBC television programme for children that was part of the “Watch with Mother” series and in a strange kind of way, that’s also applicable.

Why? Well today's Sheep clashes with the month sign in what’s known as a “month break” and under this influence it’s usually best to let someone else make the decisions and allow yourself to be looked after by them. (A bit like watch with mother).

However, if you find it difficult to surrender the “remote control” so to speak, the Chinese almanac suggests only taking things apart or building a fence; presumably so a Ram can be tethered to it overnight.

To see how your sign will be affected, see our dedicated Wood Sheep web page and normal service will be restored tomorrow. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Take the Tiger test or get it in the Neck?

The title of our blog would normally tell you something about  major influences and whether you’ll be lucky today. However without a Tiger test it’s impossible for us to say whether it’s good for you or not.

This is due to today being a Metal Rabbit day, which reacts with the Annual Dragon sign. Now the test part; if you have a Tiger in your Chinese horoscope, you will complete this special combination and good or bad, it could be a day you won’t forget for some time.

Generally, this potentially huge wood influence creates great kindness or incredible anger. However, in your personal horoscope, wood can also mean great opportunities for wealth, support, inspiration, recognition or conversely, angst, frustration and health problems. Of course, regardless of your Chinese animal sign, you could order a professional astrology reading and we will tell you this and so much more. Alternatively, a cheaper way to determine your luck is to first get a free Chinese horoscope to see if you have a Tiger. You will then need our attribute cycle to see the effect that wood has on your day stem and note that today's influence means LOTS OF IT!

“In the neck” is a negative term but today's allusion to Neck refers to the Lunar Mansion, where it’s only half bad. The Chinese almanac tells us that today is good for meditating or honouring ancestors, travelling, getting married, trading, buying an oven or setting up a tombstone. It’s not good for drilling a well, so the Rabbit will have to find another hole?

Our dedicated Metal Rabbit web page should tell you how your own sign will fare today and as there’s a full moon tomorrow, the weekend should be busy. We will return on Tuesday, so until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

The Horn of Plenty?

Today is a very auspicious day indeed. It’s a Horn day which marks the start of a new cycle in the 28 lunar mansions; one of the oldest methods of Chinese astrology. As such it’s good for growth, creation, birth, starting new projects, building, investing in land or embarking on a long term partnership; marriage or otherwise.

If that wasn’t plenty enough, it’s also a Metal Tiger day, potentially one of the luckiest cats with money. See our dedicated web page for how your own sign will be affected.

Speaking of cats, the Chinese almanac is smiling like the fabled Cheshire type and suggests visiting friends, having a haircut, sweeping house, travelling, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, emigrating, opening a  business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or setting direction for your bed, or attending to funeral duties, including setting up a tombstone. It advises against seeking blessings, meditation, lighting fires or fixing nets.

We will return tomorrow on a Metal Rabbit day. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
