Let the dog see the rabbit?

Dog day in a Rabbit month the feng shui almanac finds today's most successful daily activity.

Today’s title is a phrase that traditionally refers to finding purpose. This seems perfectly appropriate as it’s not only a Dog day in a Rabbit month but we translate the feng shui almanac to find the most successful daily activity.

As Dog and Rabbit form a special combination and are highly compatible, it is a good day especially for partnerships. Today favours travelling to meet friends, meditating and getting engaged or married. Honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, emigrating, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, buying or setting direction for your bed, planting seeds or fixing nets are also auspicious. Whilst fixing the loo, or a fire and eating certain Chinese delicacies; not so much.

The fire formed by the special combination between Dog and Rabbit is also well timed as today is a Fire Dog day. If your Day Pillar has this influence, you are extremely generous to those close to you and can express yourself easily. Of the five types of Dog, the Fire Dog is the most creative of all, so much so that they inspire all other Dog types too.

Fire Dogs can also be dedicated to public service or helping others. Being a pack animal, they would enjoy their friends and are therefore highly sociable. They have an uncanny knack for making money by “thinking outside the box”. Their physical features are generally square with angular faces and pointed extremities.

Famous Fire Dog examples are Swami Beyondananda, Cher, Deepak Chopra Timothy Dalton Matt Damon, Bill Gates, Joanna Lumley, Freddie Mercury, Dolly Parton, Alan Rickman, David Lee Roth, Steven Spielberg, Donald Trump, Jean Claude Van Damme, Kate Winslet and Yo Yo Ma.

We are really busy again tomorrow, so our blog will return next Tuesday. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

The March Hare

The March Hare, a character most famous for appearing in the tea party scene in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, is a fitting title for today on many levels. Firstly in Chinese astrology it’s an Earth Rabbit day, in the Rabbit month of March and of course, the rabbit is synonymous with the hare.

That’s not all though, the Feng Shui almanac recommends travelling as the only suitable activities, perhaps like in an adventure and meeting friends. Tea anyone? It’s marginally better tomorrow as you can have a haircut. Is that a case of hare today and gone tomorrow?

The almanac advises against digging holes or drilling wells but that’s possibly taking Alice’s adventures too far… Actually in the 28 Lunar Mansions, it is a Well day, associated with wisdom and guess what? …Literature!

Back to today's sign. If Earth Rabbit is in your free Chinese horoscope , especially as the day pillar, it denotes power but also creates pressure. The fire element is needed to balance, otherwise your body rules your mind and that can get you into trouble.

The best fire qi can be accessed by taking action, particularly by putting your thoughts and ideas into action. Consequently, it is a good sign for actors, musicians and sports people and some examples include Mariah Carey, Adam Clayton, Keira Knightley, Queen Latifah, Piers Morgan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ronaldinho, Vince Vaughn, Rachel Weisz, Will.i.am and Fergie.

You can see how your own sign will fare under the Earth Rabbit  influence and we return tomorrow on a Metal Dragon day. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

We are “over the moon”

“Over the moon” is a reference to excitement and energy and although fitting for today's features, it was literally a new moon last night.

A new lunar cycle has always been an auspicious time to start new projects or unveil new ideas and we are very excited to launch our latest update of our Key Concepts course. As it was impossible to improve on the text, we have improved the presentation with new video, sound files and the latest technology. It is quite literally the most comprehensive Feng Shui course available and this update is free to our existing registered students by email request. If you were considering taking the Key Concepts course yourself or know someone that can benefit from an increase in “luck”, please pass this message on as there’s never been a better time to take it.

Coincidentally the feng shui almanac is smiling today and also recommends taking a course as well buying or making clothes, settling accounts, erecting pillars for a house, refurbishment to the home and office, as well as general maintenance, especially to walls and paths,  fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, opening or installing a water feature, even a pond or ditch, sewing seeds, hunting or setting up a tombstone. Today is not so good for meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings or buying land.

Today's is an Earth Tiger day, probably the most ambitious and powerful of the five types in Chinese astrology. When this is found in the day pillar of your Chinese horoscope, your body controls your mind and your qi may be blocked as a result. The fire element is needed to balance and rid you of the confusion of others misunderstanding your interests and intentions. This can be found by taking action in your life and not putting things off, as well as wearing warm colours, eating spicy food or sleeping with your head in the south.

Famous Earth Tiger celebrities include Hillary Rodham Clinton (day), Drew Barrymore, Chelsea Clinton, Dr. Dre, Terence Stamp, Christina Ricci, Diana Rigg, Kenny Rogers, Chris Rock and Jon Voight. See our dedicated Earth Tiger web page for how your Chinese animal sign is affected.

In the 28 Lunar mansion cycle, it’s an Orion day, making it doubly auspicious for starting new ventures, particularly learning and taking courses. We will be back tomorrow on an Earth Rabbit day. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
