Enough to make a cat laugh?

Our title is so outrageous, it could have been chosen to put a smile on your face, but that shouldn’t really be difficult today as it’s such a great day!  However, it being a Fire Tiger day, where the fire element is associated with joy and laughter, it was more of a fate thing.

On the subject of joy, the feng shui almanac states that most activities are favourable today, including visiting friends, taking a course, travelling, getting engaged, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, opening a  business, signing contracts and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or setting direction for your bed, and wait for it, shopping!

If you have a Rabbit sign in your Chinese horoscope, you could attract a great deal of kindness today. That’s because this sign combines with the day and month to make a very strong wood element influence, which could be good for wealth, relationships, power or creativity.  See if you have a Rabbit in your chart with our free Chinese horoscope and if you think someone else you know might have one, please pass this onto them.

It’s extremely busy here at feng shui central and we hope to be back tomorrow, but please bear with us if our blog becomes intermittent over the next few days as we cope with important deadlines. Until next we meet, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Short, back and hides?

It’s a big day for those with a Horse sign, steeplechase or hurdles though!

Ok, it’s a sheep day and the best thing to do today is have a haircut so with that in mind, what title would you choose? The feng shui almanac also states rearing animals and levelling paths also works, whilst opening a warehouse or buying funeral attire is a definite no - no.

It’s actually an Earth Sheep day and these days are generally good for Pig signs who gain recognition, whilst Rabbit, Rat and Tiger signs are lucky in love or with money.

The Snake and Horse are usually motivated or else totally relaxed and chilled. However, the latter could have a most memorable day and will find it very difficult to sit still. This is due to the Horse forming a triple alignment with this Sheep day and Snake year to create a huge fire element influence. Consequently, they can be a major source of inspiration to themselves and others around them and will definitely stand out in a crowd.

Famous Earth Sheep celebrities were and are Heath Ledger, James McAvoy, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kate Hudson, Kelly Brook, Norah Jones, Pink, Cat Stevens, Kate Beckinsale, Lisa Kudrow and Rufus Wainwright.

Our dedicated Earth Sheep web page will tell you that when Ox signs find themselves under pressure, either taking charge of the situation or wearing white or grey colours will help. Dragons may see their plans advance, whilst Dog signs may have to return to the drawing board. Monkey and Rooster signs have tons of energy and probably couldn’t slow down even if they wanted too. However, if it gets too much, they can cool down with water.

We will be back tomorrow which is also a full moon, making it a great day for being active. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Pull a Rabbit out of the Hat!

A great day full of surprises, what will it do for you?

Today's title indicates that things are not what you expect them to be and guess what? Our first surprise is that it’s not a Rabbit day at all, but a Wood Tiger day. However, it’s not just any Wood Tiger day, but one that falls in a dragon month and for those that have a Rabbit in their Chinese horoscope, today could be full of surprises and maybe even magic!

This phenomenon is due to a triple alignment that unites the Tiger and Dragon and could improve opportunities for Rabbit signs, especially in relationships, health, wealth, creativity, authority and recognition. However, this huge wood element influence can bring either great benevolence or intense anger, depending on the equilibrium of their Chinese horoscope.

To see how you will be affected, first check to see if you have a Rabbit sign with our free Chinese horoscope, then see our attribute cycle (also free) to see how this personally affects you.  If you do not have a Rabbit in your Chinese astrology chart, take a look at our dedicated Wood Tiger web page for free advice.

Meanwhile the feng shui almanac is kindly smiling on us all with its distinctive red horseshoe and thinks today is definitely magic. It recommends visiting friends, taking a course, having a haircut, travelling, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, installing a water feature or an oven, shopping and attending to funeral duties. It advises against opening a warehouse, debt collecting, meditation or asking for blessings.

In the 28 Lunar Mansion system, today is a Horn day and marks the start of a new cycle; one that favours rapid growth and creation making the light at the end of tunnel burn brighter. Now that is magic!

We are away on business until Tuesday and until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Beef wellingtons?

Secrets of nature unveiled as today celebrates the light at the end of the tunnel!

You are probably expecting a recipe to follow today's title, but apart from it being an Ox day you couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s actually a Water Ox day, and falling as it does in a Water Snake year, means that there is a lot of water around, so wellington boots may be your best choice of transport today.

Actually, in just a couple of days we begin one of the Chinese 24 seasons called Grain Rain, meaning that for the next 15 day period, it will be wet and you may not want to take your “wellies” off. However, there is a very big light at the end of the tunnel which according to the Chinese book of nature will be the start of the summer season and the height of the fire element.

According to Chinese philosophy, each year is divided into five elements which comprises a 72 day period. The earth element is seen as the stabilising force and occurs as an 18 day period added to the end of each season, making 90 days in all for each season. Today is a fine example; the spring season with its wood element has been prevalent for the last 72 days and today is the start of the earth element.

This period is known as the reign of the Soil King and marks the transition from spring to summer. This is a time in which we honour the fruits of the earth and a natural lifestyle. We do not dig or lay foundations until summer begins and in ancient times there was also travel restrictions as ones feet had to remain on terra firma.

These restrictions have been updated for the modern age and for today only it is not a good day for breaking the earth or travelling by boat. It is however a good day for hunting and making a fire; as good a reason as any to break out the barbecue, although looking through the office window, it seems that beef and wellingtons might be more appropriate.

To see how your own sign will fare under today’s Chinese astrology influences, see our dedicated Water Ox page.

We’re still very busy but we should return tomorrow on a Wood Tiger day. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
