For want of a horse?

According to the Chinese almanac today is a good day to start learning and our title is an excerpt from a 14th century proverb which may refer to the death of Richard III of England. It’s supposed to be one of the earliest examples of “chaos theory” and it therefore may not come as a surprise that King Richard’s remains were just found buried under a car park in Leicester UK.

However, as we deal with order, not chaos, our “want of a horse” refers to something else. To understand exactly, you will need to know that there are twelve animal signs in the Chinese zodiac and each can be formed into a group of three. These groups actually represent the rise and fall of most of the five elements throughout the year in great order and logic.

With that in mind and as an example, today is a Metal Dog day in a Wood Tiger month, this is the beginning and end of the fire element group, but the central part of Horse is missing; hence chaos.  Interestingly, fire signifies illumination and having explained or imparted knowledge, our title should now make full sense.

This means that if you have a Horse in your horoscope and you can discover here with our free Chinese horoscope  you will have a memorable day ahead. However, with nearly thirteen million different types of chart in Chinese astrology, we cannot say whether that will be really good or really bad, but you can find out by following the instructions in our also free attribute cycle. Remember, “forewarned is forearmed”, oh wait, that’s another medieval proverb isn’t it? Well as the Chinese almanac also suggests quiet reflection as a suitable activity this is something you could ponder yourself.

Other suitable activities include taking a course and sweeping house or tidying up. Those “horseless” can see our dedicated Metal Dog web page to see how their own sign will fare today. We will be back tomorrow with the personal emblem of the English King Richard III of England, namely the White Boar shown above..  Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
