Time heals broken wood pecker

By using the word pecker I am referring to the action of a certain bird and the prefixed element should cryptically hint to a Wood Rooster day. Falling as it does in a Metal Rabbit year means that the stem and branch clashes in what is known as a “year break”. Hence, the broken wood pecker and not our little green friends. However, people with Wood Roosters in their Chinese horoscopes and particularly those born on its day, may be experiencing a year of “being bent out of shape”, so to speak and would need the water element to relieve pressure and restore equilibrium.

Yesterday we mentioned that the Wood element could relate to space and interestingly and rather supportively the water element can be related to time. As both elements refer to feng shui we have wind and water on the surface and time and space at the deepest level, meaning that if you haven’t had a feng shui consultation for a while you should have another to bring fresh results. After all it is because of the flux in energy that everything changes. The best feng shui practitioners are those that take account of time and space.

Speaking of which and returning to our blog theme; in time the energy clash will resolve itself for all when it passes tomorrow and for our Wood Rooster friends it will pass next year. For today the Chinese almanac suggests only tidying up as suitable activity and strongly advises against acupuncture or planting seeds.

On the subject of year break we will be taking some time off from our mostly daily blog due to summer holidays and Mercury retrograde starting Tuesday 2nd August. This is a point when communications may encounter problems. Although we will return with the blog from September 5th our office will continue normally and we will update our web site links with daily Chinese astrology. Today’s Wood Rooster astrology can be found on its web page.

Enjoy every moment!

No matter how tight a monkey's trousers are, there’s always space for his tail!

And space is one of the attributes associated with the wood element; highly appropriate on this Wood Monkey day. As is the playful tendency of this creature and even the Chinese almanac appears to have an ear-to-ear grin. It suggests meditation, asking for blessings, taking a course, visiting friends, having a haircut, getting married, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, emigrating, opening a business refurbishing home or office, moving earth, fixing a roof, setting up a new door or oven, or even a tombstone. It advises against opening a warehouse, chasing debts, setting up a bed or buying land.

In the harmonics, it’s a water day, so good for communicating or being near water, whilst the lunar mansion is associated with a Wolf, which could be a bit worrisome in this sheep month. Oh well, we could always call for help if needed.

To see how your own signs are affected today see our Wood Monkey web page. We will return tomorrow.

Until then – enjoy now!

One sheep follows another through a new door

It is a Water Sheep day in a Wood Sheep month, so our title clearly holds true today. It will not be similar to other things that you can wait ages for and then many come along at the same time; as another Sheep day will arrive every 12 days from now.

A new door is just one of today’s timely activities suggested by the Chinese almanac. On the subject of new and doors being opened, we would like to wish great success to our new consultants who passed their final exam over the weekend.

Other recommendations from the Tong Shu include meditation, visiting friends, travelling, getting married, refurbishing a home , setting up posts or fixing a roof, changing your door as suitable activities. It advises against digging foundations or raising a lawsuit.

To see how your sign fares today see our Water Sheep page and it’s a much better day tomorrow. Until then – enjoy now!

Terracotta Tiger tracks Ox Boy for dangerous trade!

Sometimes it is best not to say anything at all and I am wondering whether today is such a day. From the title, you can see that it is a Tiger day and maybe you know that terracotta, the natural colour found in soil relates to the earth element. This alludes to it being an Earth Tiger day. So far, so good.

“Ox boy” is one of the 28 lunar mansions and indicates loneliness perhaps separation, as well as danger and loss in building and business. However, “Danger”, another aspect of today from the Jian Chu cycle, tends to neutralise this negativity. The Chinese almanac confirms that today is good for travelling, getting engaged, having an astrology reading, emigrating, trading, fixing a roof, buying or setting a direction for your bed, and hunting, so, we hope that all is well that ends well.

It is a much better day tomorrow, and as this is a teaching weekend our next blog will be 27th July, until then – enjoy now!

Month break: like a red rag to a bull

Today is a Fire Ox day, so we have pulled the proverbial lever on the slot machine that is the Feng Shui thesaurus, and arrived with Red and Bull! Inspiration for linking these together occurs due to the clash between the Ox and the sheep of the month or the “month break”.

This clash means that important decisions should be made tomorrow. Today is only good for taking things apart; which perhaps doesn’t bode well for the Eurozone conference. Consequently, the Chinese almanac suggests redecoration or reorganisation and repairing walls or barriers; can this be taken as further economic constraints? It advises against trading and is not a good day for a haircut either.

If Fire Ox is part of your horoscope, and you can find out here Chinese horoscope, it indicates a very generous, intelligent, creative and honourable person. Drive and determination bring excellent financial rewards which help to make you more powerful and attractive to the opposite gender. With high ideals and perhaps a spiritual slant, this combination keeps you grounded and ready to be of service to others. Famous Fire Ox celebrities include Jenson Button, Bradley Cooper, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson and Ridley Scott.

It is a much better day tomorrow, until then – enjoy now!

Rare Red Rat runs rampant raising stakes and dedicating statues

It is a Fire Rat day and as you will know, red is the colour associated with the fire element. It also relates to action and sports, the running aspect in today’s title. Mondays Chinese almanac recommended raising pillars or stakes and today it suggests dedicating them, along with meditating and having a haircut. That is about all that is good today.
