Today is a White Rabbit day, although it is officially called a Metal Rabbit, it’s still a White Rabbit day in a White Rabbit year. Wow, that’s a lot of bunnies, but as in the nature of Rabbits, get a couple and before you know it there is an abundance or “drove” of them.

When you think of Alice’s White Rabbit, perhaps you automatically think of the large watch he carried and that is appropriate for today. In fact, as it is an “annual day”, that is when the same qi is in the day and year, getting your timing right today; or this year can bring plentiful results. Get it wrong and although not a case of “ off with their head” , it will probably feel like “It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. Naturally we would want to avoid wasting our energy pointlessly and following your inner instincts will guide you to do the right things at the right time. “Ambush” a Tiger team or “streak” back to 2010 to find your future!

What? I know, this title is going to take some explaining but it matches todays remarkability. It is a Metal Tiger day, which combines with the annual Rabbit and the new month sign of Dragon, to triple its potency. It’s almost like having a team of tigers with you, a collection of which is known as an “ambush” or ”streak”. This duality matches the extremely strong wood element created by the combination of Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon which can be soft and gentle or enraged and furious. Expect to see these two sides manifest today.

Another interesting aspect is Metal Tiger was the energy of 2010, so if that was a worthy year today should also be good. If it wasn’t great, then either stay in bed, or try not to make the same mistakes again. Following this trend tomorrow is the same energy as the year and that can give you a glimpse of what is ahead. This holds true for Thursday, which has the same qi as 2012, so in a week you can get a feel for your future.

How now brown cow?

Todays title was once used as an elocution lesson and we are borrowing it to see what the day has in store, hence how now? Firstly, as brown is a colour associated with the earth element and cow another name for ox, it should come as no surprise that today, in an Earth Ox day.

The Chinese almanac which is said to indicate the flow of nature, also lists various factors which determine if the day is lucky or not. One of these is the “Harmonic” which today has fire. If you can play an instrument there is a natural tone for now, but most people, use one of fires’ main attributes, namely ACTION! So, perhaps you should just go for it.

Roof refers to the moon position as defined in the 28 Lunar Mansions, and that is not good for businesses opened today. However, the Twelve Palaces say it is good for opening, in all other directions. Ox days are usually good for Ox signs who have prominence, Roosters who gain much needed support and Snakes who can be quite innovative. It brings change to Sheep, Rabbit and Pig symbols, although being a Rabbit month this is unlikely. All other signs are neutral.

Let the Dog see the Rabbit and get inspired for new beginnings

A Fire Dog day in a Rabbit month is generally auspicious as these Chinese zodiac animals form an alliance.
