Of Horse, Hounds and Horn?

Tiger signs blaze trails, whilst new beginnings and partnerships await others.

Today's title isn’t a tribute to hunting, far from it; it’s actually a Metal Dog day which falls in a Horse month. That’s two parts of the same zodiac group and you only need a Tiger for a complete set. So those born between 3 – 5am or from February 4th – March 5th or on a Tiger day or year (see free Chinese horoscope) will gain a huge fire influence and be galvanised into action.

Horn refers to a Chinese constellation in which the Moon is said to rise today. Being the tip of the Dragon, it heralds fortune to come and makes it an excellent time to start new ventures.

The Chinese almanac acknowledges these trends and recommends the following activities; taking a course, travelling, getting married, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof or setting up a tombstone.

If Metal Dog is in your Chinese horoscope you have in-built power, drive and great determination. In common with all dogs, you enjoy friendship and thrive in competitive situations. You also have an empathy with the opposite sex. Blessed with great support and a constant beneficiary of mostly good advice, you should enjoy a gracious and beneficial quality of life. Excitement can often be found by trying new things and you seem to get a buzz from taking risks.

Metal Dog influences can be found in the following celebrities; Mariah Carey, Vince Vaughn, Andre Agassi, Uma Thurman , Tina Fey, Naomi Campbell, Joseph Fiennes, Jennifer López, M. Night Shyamalan, Claudia Schiffer, Macy Gray, Matt Damon and Jay-Z.

We return tomorrow and until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Winner, winner chicken dinner?

Huge metallic influence delivers gold to some and lead (Pb) to others. Which one is yours?

If you are unfamiliar with today's title, it’s a phrase used to convey a positive outcome and as the circumstances need to be exact, you don’t know how long I have waited to use it.  I chose it today because it’s actually a Metal Ox day, falling in a Snake month and year. The only thing needed to complete the triple alignment, is a…. chicken!

Specifically it’s a male chicken, or more formally called a Rooster and if you have one of those in your Chinese astrology chart, you have a huge metal influence. Now, depending on the equilibrium of your Chinese horoscope, today could either be solid gold, or feel like a lead weight round your neck. The former could bring wealth, romance, recognition and promotion, as well as enhanced creativity or energy levels, and the latter can be cured by being near water, and even drinking it will help.

To find out if you have a Rooster in your chart, have a free Chinese horoscope on us. Why not send it to your friends too? As Chinese astrology is specific to the individual, it’s impossible to be general and is what gives it a renowned reputation for being so accurate. However, our attribute cycle will tell you whether it’s lucky or not.

Having two out of three of the Chinese zodiac group makes it an auspicious day for all, even those without a  Rooster sign. There isn't any gold but the Feng Shui or Chinese almanac recommends meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, visiting friends, taking a course, travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting direction for your bed or setting up a tombstone as lucky activities.

If you don’t have a lead weight about your person, the almanac advises against having much to do with water, but this is more to do with buying a boat ticket or drilling a well. It also suggests another day may be best for brewing beer or making soy sauce.

See our dedicated Metal Ox web page for how your sign will fare today. We are busy tomorrow but hope to return on Thursday with our next blog. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

Salt & Pepper - starters for summer seasoning?

Get the Bull by the horns, it’s a great day ahead.

Today's Water Rooster represents the flavours of salt and pepper respectively. Since our last blog, many Feng Shui reports but just a few days ago, we have started a new month and a new season.

This new Snake month is highly compatible with today's Rooster and is a great day for most activities. The feng shui almanac specifically lists meditating or honouring ancestors, taking a course, having a haircut, travelling, getting engaged or married, having an astrology reading, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or setting direction for your bed, hunting, or setting up a tombstone as most favourable. Whilst instigating litigation, planting seeds or buying land is best postponed until a later date.

With the Snake and Rooster alignment, you only need an Ox in your chart to come under a huge metal element influence. For some this could mean wealth or relationship opportunities, but with almost 13 million different charts it’s impossible to be exact. However, we have free tools and lots of explanations on our websites to help you make the most of today. Our dedicated Water Rooster web page will tell you how you are affected. However, I would first visit our free Chinese horoscope and then our attribute cycle.

We should return tomorrow on a Wood Dog day.  Until then, enjoy NOW!

No cock and bull story?

Today's title originates from the height of the coaching era in the UK when The Cock and The Bull were two of the main coaching inns on a busy stop off point between the north and south of England.  It refers to the banter and rivalry between groups of travellers, which is said to have resulted in exaggerated and fanciful stories.

The reason why I chose it is that today is a Wood Ox day, which is the obvious bull. The not so apparent part is that being a Snake Year, the Ox only needs a Rooster (cock) to make a very strong metal influence. If you were born in a Rooster year, or after the first week of September, you may have one and that could make today highly memorable. You can discover whether this is you with our free Chinese horoscope.

If you are a regular reader of our feng shui blog, you will know that as there are almost thirteen million different charts in Chinese astrology, it’s impossible to generalise whether today will be spectacularly good or bad for our Rooster friends. However, follow the instructions in our attribute cycle and see for yourself.

Mind you, it is worth taking a look regardless of your Chinese animal sign as between 5pm and 7pm (local time) today, the Rooster hour will form this triple alignment and affect us all. For the rest of today the feng shui or Chinese almanac suggests meditating or honouring ancestors, travelling, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, buying or setting direction for your bed, opening or installing a water feature and fixing nets. Don’t lay foundations or plant seeds.

To see how your own sign is affected, see our dedicated Wood Ox web page and we will hopefully return tomorrow, although it’s extremely busy right now. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
