Tribute, to the turning tide?

Highpoint of the year and major shift in personal evolution?

Today is an Earth Horse day and denotes great respect whenever a Chinese animal sign supports its own type. In five elements terms, the Horse is fire and this naturally assists Earth.

If that wasn’t enough, Earth Horse is also the month sign and I interpret this much deference as a tribute. But homage to what? It is true that most notable people are born under such influences, however at 06:04 GMT, Summer Solstice began in the northern hemisphere.

This marks the high point of nature and the tides turn from growth to decay or yang to yin. It is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and from this point onwards, growth shifts from the external to internal development.

In terms of our personal evolution, this means shifting our emphasis from the physical to the mental and in this way we pay tribute to ourselves and become all that we can and dare be. This is the very subtle message of the Chinese almanac which makes only one recommendation for today; that of quiet contemplation and honouring all that came before us.

We leave you with this message and until we return, enjoy every moment of NOW!
