The Wooden Tups?

Although Tup can mean many things, its original use meant a Ram and that’s appropriate as today is a Wooden Ram or Sheep day. It’s reminiscent of “The Woodentops”, a classic BBC television programme for children that was part of the “Watch with Mother” series and in a strange kind of way, that’s also applicable.

Why? Well today's Sheep clashes with the month sign in what’s known as a “month break” and under this influence it’s usually best to let someone else make the decisions and allow yourself to be looked after by them. (A bit like watch with mother).

However, if you find it difficult to surrender the “remote control” so to speak, the Chinese almanac suggests only taking things apart or building a fence; presumably so a Ram can be tethered to it overnight.

To see how your sign will be affected, see our dedicated Wood Sheep web page and normal service will be restored tomorrow. Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
