Piggyback on annual union day

It is a Wood Pig day and is very special time, as it unites the day with the month and year in the wood trine of Pig, Sheep and Rabbit. This makes it a memorable day in one way or another, and you will need to see our attribute cycle to see how the wood element affects your horoscope. Generally, when out of balance, wood can bring either great kindness or anger, so make sure you are kind to all today and you will not suffer. It is also good for strategy and planning.

To help you decide what to do today, the Chinese almanac recommends taking a course, visiting friends, having a haircut, travelling, especially by train, moving home, buying or making clothes, refurbishing home or office, moving earth, building pillars, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting direction for your bed or oven and hunting as suitable activities.

Today’s Wood Pig is extremely well supported, as the Pig part supports the Wood bit, which we have described as a “piggyback” arrangement. To see how well you are supported, see our Wood Pig page.

Until then – enjoy now!

Lead a dog's life day

How do we get the title to today’s Wood Dog pillar? Well, as it is the start to a new week, we thought we would make it nice and easy and quite literally take Lead as a reference to Jia the Yang Wood of today. Jia actually means “first in a series”, is more commonly referred to as Jia Deng; and means first class. As a feng shui master consultant, that’s the kind of life we want for all and is the purpose of a feng shui consultation.

Of course, “going with the flow” or “being in the right place at the right time” also helps and for that, we can use the Chinese almanac. Today it recommends meditation, getting married, setting up a stove or oven direction, refurbishing paths and walls and fixing nets as suitable activities. Opening a warehouse or laying foundations is unsuitable.

To see how your Chinese animal sign will be will be affected, you can get a free Chinese horoscope and then see our Wood Dog page.

It’s a much better day tomorrow.

Until then – enjoy now!

One sheep follows another over the moon

Today is a Metal Sheep day in a Wood Sheep month, so having a couple of sheep together fits this old saying. It is also the 15th day of the lunar calendar, which means that tonight is a full moon. At these times, more blood is drawn upwards, over oxygenating the brain and making us more eccentric and flamboyant. Just ask any police department or insurance company!

With the party spirit as today’s theme, the Chinese almanac recommends visiting friends, travelling, emigrating or taking up a foreign post, getting engaged, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, opening a business and moving earth. If you prefer quiet contemplation, meditation is also suitable and it is a good day for burial.

It seems the party mood can continue until Sunday; a good day to clear away and tidy up. We will return on Monday.

Horsing around at heavens embrace

Today is a Metal Horse day and the shape associated with the metal element is round. I know its stretching the realms of possibilities to change round to a round = around, get it? I could add that as metal comes before the horse; I need to move the words around to validate today’s title. However, I just like the sound of it and I hope you do too.

Heavens embrace is much easier to accept, as it refers to a special combination that occurs between a Horse and the Sheep, this month’s animal sign, so normally it is auspicious. However, today is a “Closed” day; only good for settling matters, which makes it a good day for funeral duties, including setting up a tombstone. In ancient times, this involved finding the ideal site where the water and mountain dragon could embrace and qi could be directed to predecessors via the tombstone. It is a practice still used today and called Yin feng shui.

The Chinese almanac also recommends making and drinking wine responsibly, fixing paths, filling cracks in walls, shifting earth and making funeral attire, which you could also take as buying clothes.

If Metal Horse is in your horoscope and you can get free astrology here to find out; you have a mind like a steel trap and are extremely determined, if not border line stubborn. Being used to having your own way, you have many wealth opportunities and are able to see the bigger picture. Famous Metal Horse celebrities include Jeff Beck, Jim Belushi, Dan Brown, Gary Busey, Sean Connery, Ronnie Corbett Ray Davies, Clint Eastwood, Steffi Graf, Gene Hackman, Richard Harris Hugh Laurie, Steve McQueen, Lionel Richie, Boz Scaggs, Meryl Streep and. Kathleen Turner.

It is a better day tomorrow. Until then – enjoy now!

Flat Snake in an Open Carriage!

Today is an Earth Snake day. When they said the earth was flat, they must have been referring to the earth element, wider than it is tall. The rest of the title appears in the twelve and Twenty Eight mansions cycles of nature; an Open and Carriage day respectively. Both of these are essential to the Chinese almanac in deciding the most favourable activities on any given day.

For example, from “Open” we get happy events and new beginnings, so it’s good to have your hair done or to buy new clothes. Advice on new beginnings is also favoured and you can be personally inspired from meditating, divination and in asking for blessings. On the physical plain, it’s an excellent day to seek treatment or see a doctor. Alternatively, new starts can be found by building or renovating, putting a new roof on a home and buying or setting a new direction for your bed or oven.

“Carriage” days favour business and education, so it’s a good day to sign contracts and trade or take a course, either by distance learning or to enrol on our professional feng shui course where we can teach you much, much more.

Is Earth Snake part of your astrology? Find out with our free Chinese horoscope. If it is found in your day pillar, you have a very expressive way with words that will eventually bring great prosperity. Natural magnetism adds to your self-confidence and attracts others to you; just as well as you’re a people person and perhaps a party animal. Famous celebrities include Cate Blanchett, Corbin Bleu, Chris Brown, Joe Cocker, Rudolph Giuliani, Cee Lo Green, Jewel, Billy Joel, Gladys Knight, Lenny Kravitz, George Lucas, Rory McIlroy, Alyson Michalka, Morrissey, President Barak Obama, Frank Oz, Daniel Radcliffe, Randy Travis, Rick Wakeman and Mark Zuckerberg.

You can discover how your own animal sign will be affected today on our Earth Snake web page. We’ll be back tomorrow.

Until then – enjoy now!

The mouse that roared!

In the same way that some Chinese refer to the year of the Rat as a Mouse, we have followed suit with today’s Wood Rat title. The five elements, which define the type of Rat, can also be used for ways of speaking and a skilled feng shui consultant can tell if their client is suffering from an elemental deficiency just by talking to them. For example, if I arrived at a new client’s home or office and they spoke loudly, I could tell they were suffering from a wood imbalance. That is, of course, providing that I hadn’t run over their prize petunias and parked in the middle of their lawn or reception area!

Mind you, there’s plenty to roar about on this Wood Rat day. Firstly the Wood Rat always denotes the start of a new sixty day cycle and today’s being the first to occur after the summer solstice, means the yin half of the year is now in full force. Does this beg the question; is a mouse a yin version of a rat? To see how your own sign is affected please see our Wood Rat page

The Chinese almanac is smiling again as it has a horseshoe around todays entry, informing us that it is an especially good day for a yin Wood Sheep, which is actually our current month pillar too. It’s not too good for an Earth or Water Horse though. Good activities today are meditation, asking for blessings, visiting friends, having a haircut, travelling, getting married, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, refurbishing home or office, moving earth, fixing a roof, hunting and attending to funeral duties, including setting up a tombstone.

As we are teaching this weekend our blog will return on 13th an Earth Snake day.

Until then – enjoy now!
