Green Dragon day

As green is the colour associated with wood we could refer to today’s Chinese zodiac animal as being a Green Dragon. However, this should not be confused with the same name creature from Form School feng shui used in feng shui consultations.

Today’s Wood Dragon day is not terribly auspicious and can only be used for redecoration or refurbishment. That said it should bring wealth to all metal people and romance to males with this element which includes Monkey and Rooster. Whereas, woman with Earth element signs of ox, Dragon, Sheep or Dog could be lucky in love.

Pig and Rat have a lot of power and can be quite ambitious in their outlook. Rabbit and Tiger could have money luck, whilst Snake and Horse can travel or be quite creative.

Until tomorrow - enjoy today!

Water Rabbit day

Along with the Chinese astrology group of animals mentioned earlier this week, there are also six combinations of signs that have generally favourable results. Conversely today’s Water Rabbit forms an alliance with the month sign of Dog to make this a favourable day. Especially for meditation, asking for blessings, visit friends, get engaged, swap gifts or wed, emigrate, consult a doctor, refurbish kitchen or bedroom, lay foundations, or set up a tombstone.

Today is also good for Pig, Rabbits and Goat and brings changes for those with Snake, Rooster and Ox horoscopes. Not sure which sign you are? Have a free Chinese astrology horoscope here.

Fire and Horse males may feel powerful, whilst women with the same horoscope may attract a mate or be lucky in love. The earth signs of Dragon, Goat, Dog and Ox as well as Monkey, can be lucky with money and this brings romance to men of these signs.

Until tomorrow – enjoy today

Water Tiger day

Tigers are most favourable this year due to it being the annual sign for 2010, especially so in October as this Dog month and the Horse sign forms the same zodiac group. The former has wealth opportunities and romance for males whilst Tiger females can be lucky in love. Horse completes this group and these signs can experience powerful emotions and new inspiration today. Actually as this sign completes this group if you have a Horse in your horoscope then you have an extremely strong fire feature this month. See five elements for how this can affect you.

Monkey, Rat and Dragon form the opposite group to Tiger Horse and Dog above and they may experience change or struggles at this time. Nevertheless, the former although clashed all year is actually better balanced today, whilst the Rat is creative and the Dog can be wealthy.

The other groups of Snake, Rooster and Ox have support, freedom and power respectively. Whilst the final group of Pig, Rabbit and Sheep correspondingly enjoy friendship, competition and power.

Moving earth, preparing mourning clothes and setting up a tombstone are favourable activities according to the Tong Shu. Unsuitable activities are meditating or opening a water source.

Until, tomorrow – enjoy today

Metal Ox day – Holy cow?

It seems we can explain away today’s Metal Ox day in a couple of ways; firstly we associate the elements colour white with purity and by extension holiness. Secondly the metal element is associated with heaven as it is forged in stars. Finally, Ox being another name for Cow or even Bull hence Holy cow!

Dog, Pig and Rat signs are supported today as the former see their plans develop, whilst the latter water signs are made vibrant by today’s qi. Tiger and Rabbit signs have power and money luck and Horse and Snake can join Dragon and Ox signs to can try out new ideas, or travel somewhere new.

Although the Sheep is clashed and could have stomach problems, this is best avoided by eating wisely. Being a metal day natural favours Monkey and Rooster and they can feel vibrant and on top of the world.

According to the Tong Shu meditation and other philosophical developments are suitable activities as is asking ancestors for advice and fixing fishing nets. You can translate the latter as a good time to prepare for a positive future.

Until tomorrow – enjoy today

Dirty Dog day?

Dirt being another name for earth is an appropriate title for today’s Earth Dog day. It is also an “Ox boy” day in the 28 Lunar Mansions denoting loneliness and isolation - not exactly a lucky day is it?. However, in another cycle it is a “Build” day so it can be used for refurbishment and redecoration, especially of a toilet or bathroom, so as they say every shower has a silver curtain or every cloud a silver lining.

This Yang Earth Dog day brings friendship and assistance to other earth signs of Sheep, Dog, Ox, although the Dragon may struggle and needs to be careful of damaging their chest or shoulder.

Metal signs of Monkey and Rooster are positive and vibrant, whilst Pig and Rats can feel powerful and ambitious, their women are lucky in love. Whilst male Tiger and Rabbits can also enjoy romance and all are lucky with money.

Snake and Horse signs can generally relax and enjoy travel or creativity.

Until, Monday enjoy the weekend.

Chicken Tikka day?

A Yin Fire Rooster day allows us to illustrate one of the aspects of this element and as you would expect “spicy” is the taste of fire. This goes so well with chicken, another name for Rooster, hence Chicken Tikka. Seriously though, diet can be used in Chinese astrology to help balance a clients energy and make the most of a supposedly “bad luck” period. However, this is not the case today, as suitable activities include meditate, asking ancestors for advice, start learning, enter school or graduation day. Baby’s first bath, have a haircut, or a facelift, acupuncture and moxibustion treatments. Hunt, set up warehouse, buy clothes or break earth to lay foundations.

This Fire Rooster should be good for those with Snake, Rooster or Ox in their horoscopes, as assistance, power and support respectively will be the order of today. Monkey’s should see their plans coming to fruition and should be quite optimistic. Whilst Rabbit, Pig and Sheep signs may experience pressure, struggle, or receive wrong advice. Other earth signs of Dragon and Dog should feel vibrant and active, although the former must be careful of chest or shoulder problems this month. Tigers have power and recognition, and females with this sign can also enjoy romance.

Rat and Horses signs are also extremely vibrant today, the latter all month as Horses combines with the annual Tiger and this month’s Dog sign. As a result, they are probably “all spiced out” and would benefit from salty foods instead.

Until tomorrow - enjoy today!
