Dirty Dog day?

Dirt being another name for earth is an appropriate title for today’s Earth Dog day. It is also an “Ox boy” day in the 28 Lunar Mansions denoting loneliness and isolation - not exactly a lucky day is it?. However, in another cycle it is a “Build” day so it can be used for refurbishment and redecoration, especially of a toilet or bathroom, so as they say every shower has a silver curtain or every cloud a silver lining.

This Yang Earth Dog day brings friendship and assistance to other earth signs of Sheep, Dog, Ox, although the Dragon may struggle and needs to be careful of damaging their chest or shoulder.

Metal signs of Monkey and Rooster are positive and vibrant, whilst Pig and Rats can feel powerful and ambitious, their women are lucky in love. Whilst male Tiger and Rabbits can also enjoy romance and all are lucky with money.

Snake and Horse signs can generally relax and enjoy travel or creativity.

Until, Monday enjoy the weekend.

Chicken Tikka day?

A Yin Fire Rooster day allows us to illustrate one of the aspects of this element and as you would expect “spicy” is the taste of fire. This goes so well with chicken, another name for Rooster, hence Chicken Tikka. Seriously though, diet can be used in Chinese astrology to help balance a clients energy and make the most of a supposedly “bad luck” period. However, this is not the case today, as suitable activities include meditate, asking ancestors for advice, start learning, enter school or graduation day. Baby’s first bath, have a haircut, or a facelift, acupuncture and moxibustion treatments. Hunt, set up warehouse, buy clothes or break earth to lay foundations.

This Fire Rooster should be good for those with Snake, Rooster or Ox in their horoscopes, as assistance, power and support respectively will be the order of today. Monkey’s should see their plans coming to fruition and should be quite optimistic. Whilst Rabbit, Pig and Sheep signs may experience pressure, struggle, or receive wrong advice. Other earth signs of Dragon and Dog should feel vibrant and active, although the former must be careful of chest or shoulder problems this month. Tigers have power and recognition, and females with this sign can also enjoy romance.

Rat and Horses signs are also extremely vibrant today, the latter all month as Horses combines with the annual Tiger and this month’s Dog sign. As a result, they are probably “all spiced out” and would benefit from salty foods instead.

Until tomorrow - enjoy today!

Fire Monkey day

Hi All,

Despite being offline for the past nine days due to a misplaced shovel severing a major BT cable carrying my areas Internet service during some roadwork’s, it has been a pretty busy time. We have completely redesigned and updates our web site’s home page and would love to hear what you think about our new concept and logo before implementing it site wide. Please see http://www.fengshuithatworks.co.uk/IndexNEW.html and let me know what you think.

Today marks the 60th day since we began this daily Chinese astrology blog and Twitter, so its a good time to send any questions or discuss any theories. Don’t forget to tell your friends about our new group. Here is today’s astrology and Tong Shu

This Fire Monkey day is known as a year break in Chinese astrology as the daily animal clashes with the annual sign of Tiger. It is said to be unlucky for most things except asking advice from ancestors, a Chinese tradition and taking things apart or refurbishing. A modern day translation is a good day for getting advice hence our questions. Alternatively, an I Ching divination could answer your own questions.

From a Chinese astrology perspective those born under Rooster may suffer setbacks, but it should be a better day for water signs of Pig and Rat. Similarly earth signs of Ox, Dragon, Sheep or Dog will feel both energised - enough to put any new ideas into action. Monkey signs are at the centre of attention and will focus on that part of life corresponding to their respective horoscope pillar. Wood signs of Tiger and Rabbit should be creative during the morning and may get recognition for their endeavours during the afternoon. Meanwhile Snake and Horse signs go with the flow and may have money luck as a result.

Until tomorrow – enjoy today!

Roast Hog day

Today’s Roast Hog or Fire Pig as it is known in Chinese astrology which according to the Chinese almanac or Tong Shu is suitable for meditating, asking for blessings, visiting friends, travelling, emigrating, buying clothes, emigrating, refurbishing kitchen and adding a stove, positioning a bed or door, laying foundations, fixing a wall and filling cracks.

Pigs are at the centre of attention today and along with Rat signs can be quite lucky in love and money. Conversely, Snake signs would normally be stressed as they clash on these days, but owing to the annual Tiger influence which brings an element of wood, it is mostly self-curing. However, should they feel pressurised then wearing green or light blue colours would help them.

Rabbits and Tiger are well supported and can be creative; Horses have power and recognition whilst women of this sign can also be lucky in love. Earth signs of Dragon, Goat, Dog and Ox also have wealth too and males with these signs may have romance opportunities too. Metal signs of Monkey and Rooster are ambitious and may take advantage of their positions.

Until tomorrow – enjoy today!

Wise Monkey day?

The Wood element of today is associated with expansion and is commonly taken in Chinese astrology terms as strategy, which is perhaps a product of wisdom. Being a Monkey day I have tagged on wisdom to make it more interesting, not necessarily insightful.

Moving swiftly on, today’s Wood Monkey is the antithesis of our annual qi, namely Metal Tiger and is known as the year break. Consequently, the Chinese almanac suggests today is only suitable to ask ancestors for guidance and sweep house. This can be loosely translated as tidying up matters.

Normally Tigers would clash on a Monkey day but helped by the annual qi it should not be too bad, Monkeys are at the centre of attention and can make new friends, whilst setbacks may await the other metal sign of Rooster. Rat and Pig signs are full of energy and new ideas, Rabbits gain power and recognition. Snake and Horse signs have money luck, and Dragon, Goat, Dog and Ox can be less stressed and may travel.
Until Monday – enjoy today!
