Chicken-livered but blessed all the same!

According to the Chinese almanac, today is an excellent day to start learning or to take a course. And how we translated today's Wood Rooster into the above title certainly follows this theme. Rooster as another name for chicken should be apparent, but wood into Liver is an advanced part of Chinese astrology that tells us the strengths and weaknesses of a person’s organs and equilibrium.

In ancient times, physicians would cast a Four Pillars of Destiny astrology chart to understand a person’s energy or chemistry and prescribe treatments accordingly. This was a holistic way of gently treating and balancing the patient’s energy, which usually led to a speedy recovery. Some physicians, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists still use it today. Having taught some at our school, they have told of the excellent results found by this process.

Being blessed or asking for blessings comes directly from the book of nature as another recommended activity for today. The full list includes meditation or honouring ancestors, having a haircut, travelling, getting engaged or married, ordering an astrology reading, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof or setting up a tombstone.

Being a Rooster day in a Snake month, the Tong Shu or Book of Nature marks this as an auspicious day that should be a lucky day for all. However, to see how your personal Chinese zodiac sign is affected, see our dedicated Wood Rooster web page. We will return tomorrow on a Fire Dog day.

Until then enjoy every moment of NOW!

Married under the Monkey Tree; no wonder!

Today's Wood Monkey when found in a Chinese horoscope can form a special relationship with Yang Earth and Yang Metal to denote a very special individual. It is one of three very rare combinations known as the “Three Wonders”. This particular alignment is called “Heavens Wonder” and as the other two refer to Earth and Man, the luck trinity is maintained.

People with this phenomenon are seen as natural leaders and tend to lead very special lives. Perhaps this is you? Either way, you can find out here with our free Chinese horoscope. Unfortunately, the No Wonder part of the title tells us that we do not have this alignment today. The closest we came was between 07:00 and 09:00 as this was a Yang Earth period, but as this is always calculated in “local time”, maybe it hasn’t happened for you yet.

Inspiration for the rest of today's title seemed a natural “fit” by combining Wood and Monkey into Monkey Tree. The Marriage part came from the Chinese almanac which lists this union as one of very few suitable activities today. Other suggestions were pampering, tidying up or fixing a path. However, that has more to do with this also being an “Even” day, so take it easy and don’t overdo things.

To see how your personal Chinese zodiac sign is affected see our dedicated Wood Monkey web page and we will return tomorrow on a Wood Rooster day.

Until then enjoy every moment of NOW!

Power Harecut?

You have heard of power dressing, but how about a power haircut? In researching today's title, I was amazed at the amount of websites found under this search term. I was only looking for a different way of saying it is an Earth Rabbit day, where the elemental relationship represents power and Hare is related to a rabbit, what would you come up with?

Funnily enough, translating today's Chinese almanac or book of nature recommends having a haircut as a most suitable activity. As Rabbit is aligned with the annual Dragon sign, it should be a good day for relationships and visiting friends, travelling, getting engaged or married and trading. For past relationships, it is also good for meditation or honouring ancestors and paying respects in funerary services.

To see how your personal sign is affected see our dedicated Earth Rabbit web page and as we are teaching this weekend, we will return next Wednesday.

Until then enjoy every moment of NOW!

Power cat seeks Rabbit for fish dinner

Today's Earth Tiger when viewed in isolation can be considered the most powerful of the five types of Tiger zodiac sign. Yet, occurring in a Dragon year provides a disjointed energetic combination that could lead to anger and confusion. However, Rabbit signs are the uniting link and provide the strongest possible wood influence to remain relatively unscathed. Indeed, they may have a memorable day but need to use our attribute cycle to see exactly how they will be affected. Of course; to discover if you have a Rabbit sign try our free Chinese horoscope

For all others, the Chinese almanac or book of nature translates this disjointed influence into more tranquil pursuits such as decorating, fixing nets and catching fish.

To see how your personal sign is affected see our dedicated Earth Tiger web page. We will return tomorrow on an Earth Rabbit day.

Until then enjoy every moment of NOW!

Red bull starts school!

Today's title is not meant to be a nod to feeble poetry, but is germane to today's energetic influences. Let’s see how. As you might expect, red is the colour associated with the fire element and bull is another name for the Ox, therefore it should come as no surprise that it’s a Fire Ox day.

When taken in isolation, Fire Ox is considered as the brightest or most intelligent of the five different types of Oxen in feng shui or Chinese astrology. Today's Ox is also part of the same zodiac group as this months’ Snake, and if you have a Rooster in your horoscope you too can benefit today from enhanced mental prowess. Consequently, the book of nature suggests starting school or taking a feng shui course. It also recommends visiting friends, travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting feng shui directions for your bed, hunting or setting up a tombstone.

The book of nature gets some of its inspiration from the position of the moon in a method known as the 28 lunar mansions. This being a “Carriage” day is noted as the key to honour, recognition and promotion and is doubly auspicious for taking a course. Also the Jian Chu system of 12 palaces in which today is known as “Success” bodes well for all other forms, especially trade. As you might expect the Chinese almanac is smiling again today.

To see how your personal sign is affected see our dedicated Fire Ox web page. We will return tomorrow on an Earth Tiger day.

Until then enjoy every moment of NOW!
